OUR STORY

Chef Salvador Rodriguez and his wife, Yoko Miyagi, are driven by a shared passion for celebrating Latin American cuisine and culture. Inspired by His mother Che Clara Luz Marroquin, his brother chef Juan Rodriguez and their slogan, “Cooking the Latin Continent Australia,” they opened their first Latin American restaurant in 2014 in West Footscray, Melbourne—their hometown.

Their menu was carefully curated to represent the diverse flavors of Latin America, while weekends transformed the restaurant into a vibrant cultural destination. Guests enjoyed not only authentic cuisine, but also live music and cultural events that reflected the spirit of Latin American countries. The experience attracted locals, visitors from across Australia, and international guests alike.

Since 2019, the focus has shifted toward premium catering services, offering seasonal menus made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Chef Rodriguez is also deeply involved in culinary education and cultural advocacy, serving as Vice President of the Union Centro Americano de Arte Culinario y Turismo (UNICEARCT) and as a Food Ambassador.

Today, the brand is expanding internationally. Special Flavor Nights held in Los Angeles and Tokyo have generated strong global interest, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter beyond Australia.
